ATack Gaffer Tape Pro – Black, 2″ x 30 Yards

GAFFER TAPE PRO INSTRUCTION MANUAL

You can print this instruction manual for a quick reference. We promise that this will be a quick but informative read! For questions, inquiries, and concerns, please don’t hesitate to contact us.

INSTRUCTIONS

1) Clean the surface where you would be installing the tape. Lint, dirt, and dust can significantly lessen the bonding strength of adhesives.
2) Peel the tape from the roll. Do not cut the strip first.
3) Apply the tape on the surface.
4) Cut the tape, making sure that you apply tension on the strip by partially pulling the roll. The tension will make the tape easier to cut.
5) Squeegee any air bubbles or gaps that may exist between the surface and the tape. This may cause the adhesive to weaken over time. You can use an old and unused credit card or a roller to squeegee any excess air.
6) Apply more strips by repeating steps 2-5.

TEARING & CUTTING

You can choose to tear the Gaffer Tape by hand. You may also cut a strip using a pair of scissors. If you have trouble tearing/cutting the tape, then it is recommended to apply some form of tension on the tape by pulling it gently while one end is installed on the surface while the other end is still spooled in the roll.
By pulling the tape and applying some tension, it will be easier to cut or tear the strip.

APPLICATIONS

1) As a cable management duct tape for your setup.
2) As a floor marker for stage managers, lighting engineers and interior designers.
3) As a console/device labeling tool for photographers, DJs, and other similar professions.
4) As a book repair tool for book spines and binder.
5) As a duct tape (if you need a more professional and matte-look)
6) As a device marker and repair tool.
7) As a masking or painter’s tape.
8) As a friction handle liner for home tools.

ADHESIVE REMOVAL

On rare cases, the adhesive can stick into objects such as the edge of a scissor. The adhesive can be easily removed by either of the following steps:
1) Partially melting the adhesive using the warm air exhaust of a hair dryer. After partially melting
the adhesive, then you can simply wipe off the adhesive residue.
2) Wiping the surface with a warm water with soap and white vinegar solution. You can also use a soft brush to remove the adhesive faster. You can also mix in some baking soda to the solution.
3) Applying Goo Gone solution, lighter fluid, or kerosene on the surface. The residue can easily be removed and wiped clean through this process

DISCLAIMER

Adhesives may react differently to various surfaces and may be incompatible to unique materials. Therefore, it is recommended to try out
a short strip to a small corner of the surface first before full application. By applying the tape, the user assumes responsibility on how the surface reacts with the adhesive.
